Mental health and self esteem
How to get help if you’re feeling down.
Dyslexia can be a really positive thing, but it’s also true that it can be hard.
We all feel low at times and need help and ideas about how to feel better.
If you feel really sad or bad then it’s always a good idea to speak to someone you trust.
But sometimes there are things online that can help. Here are a few links that are worth checking out:
Childline – ‘Building confidence and self esteem’
BBC – ‘Lifebabble guide to feeling good’
NHS – ‘Moodzone’
Young Scot – ‘Learning how to be less stressed’
Reach – ‘It’s not always easy to speak up about your problems’
If you want to speak to someone about anything that’s worrying you, phone Childline on 0800 1111. The calls are free and you don’t have to give your name.
