Welcome to dyslexiascotland.org.uk. We provide products and services subject to the notices, terms and conditions as set out below. By accessing, browsing, selecting items or purchasing from our online shop, you agree to all the terms and conditions in this agreement. Please read them carefully before making your purchase.

Dyslexia Scotland is the data controller and we are responsible for your personal data (referred to as “we”, “us” or “our” in this privacy notice).

How do we collect information in our online shop?

We only collect information about you if we have a reason to do so – for example, to send you your physical goods ordered, to contact you about your order or to send you information about your order. We collect personal information about you if and when you provide information to us.

What information do we collect through our online shop?

The types of personal information we might ask for may include your name, address, email address, telephone number, credit/debit card or direct debit details (if you are buying anything through us such as a product or service).

How do we use your information?

We will always ask you if you want to give us your information and ask your permission about how we use it. We will never sell, distribute or share your information with any other organisations without your permission.

If you agree, we will use the information that you give to us:

•          to send you the digital or physical products that you have requested

•          to consider how we can make the information, products and services we offer to you better (including the websites)

•          to contact you about other offers in our shop

•          to contact you about our work, for example events, fundraising, campaigning and other relevant work

How do we store your information?

Your personal information will be kept secure by Dyslexia Scotland website managers. We will only keep it for as long as it is needed and only for the purposes for which you have agreed we can use it. For example, to post the goods you ordered, or to keep you informed about Dyslexia Scotland’s work.


Postage

Because we are a small organisation, often dependent on volunteers, we may take up to one full week before we can pack and post your order.

Postage costs cover delivery, packaging and label printing overheads.

We want to offer you options for affordability and reliability. Our shipping options are:

Modifications to product, price or service

Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.

We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the service.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor’s display of any colour will be accurate.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Any offer for any product or service made on this site is void where prohibited.

We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the service will be corrected.

Errors, Inaccuracies and Omissions

Occasionally there may be information on our site or in the Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information on the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order). We will endeavour to communicate any changes that may affect your order, but this may not always be possible.

Prohibited uses

You are prohibited to infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights. Products sold in our online shop are copyright Dyslexia Scotland, unless otherwise stated. You must not copy, imitate or reproduce Dyslexia Scotland products without express permission.

This includes our digital download products. A purchase of a digital download permits licence to a single user. You must not share, copy or further distribute digital download purchases from Dyslexia Scotland’s shop without express permission from Dyslexia Scotland.

Returns

We hope you are happy with your purchase. We have stringent quality control checks and make every effort to ensure that our products are accurately described and fairly priced. In general, Dyslexia Scotland will only offer refunds or exchanges for items that are damaged, inaccurately described or not fit for purpose (as per the Consumer Rights Act) but we will consider other reasonable requests. Please see below for more information on our return policy.

All returns must be postmarked within 30 days of the purchase date. All returned items must be in new and unused condition, with all original packaging.

Returns process:

Returns are at the discretion of shop managers. To request to exchange an item, please email [email protected] using the subject heading ‘shop exchange/return request’. We will consider your request and will respond within 7 working days with further instructions where applicable.

Please note, you will be responsible for all return shipping charges. We strongly recommend that you use a trackable method to send your return. If we do not receive returned goods, we will not provide an exchange/refund. Refunds are only provided in exceptional circumstances. This does not affect your statutory rights.
