A 'thank you' from our Chief Executive

As we look back on another year, we would like to thank everyone who has supported us to help the dyslexia community in Scotland in 2023.

Firstly, we could not do what we do without the valuable financial support and generosity of all our funders and supporters. Every single penny counts – we are indebted to those who choose to support Dyslexia Scotland.

The hard work of our small staff team of seven is magnified by the incredible added value and commitment that our volunteer community continue to bring. This volunteer community includes our President, Vice-Presidents, Ambassadors, Young Ambassadors, Board of Directors, Council of Branch Representatives, and all of the volunteers who support the Head Office and the Branches and Adult Networks.

Our community includes our tutors, assessors, trainers and consultants, our growing community of practitioners who have completed the Dyslexia and Inclusive Practice Professional Recognition programme, as well as all the other changemakers working to support dyslexic people.
We are also so grateful to our members. We are constantly amazed by your willingness to contribute to Dyslexia Voice each quarter, to take part in our events and to interact on social media. Giving dyslexic people an individual and collective voice is a key part of what we do and is reflected in our third Strategic Aim.
With your unstinting collective support, we can continue to work towards a dyslexia-friendly Scotland and to make a difference to dyslexic people and their families.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
