CBeebies creator speaks about her dyslexic journey

Dyslexia Scotland’s Summer Lecture series concludes on 28 August with an input from creator of the well-loved, award-winning JoJo and Gran Gran CBeebies series.

Laura Henry-Allain MBE will share her story of how she left school with virtually no qualifications to becoming the creator of the first animation that features a Black British family.

Led by prominent experts and influencers, the talks have given insights into the ‘different thinking’ that people with dyslexia possess and the ways this shapes their lives and careers.

The online events organised by Dyslexia Scotland have shone a spotlight on the uniqueness of dyslexic minds. Mountain biker Katy Winton, eye expert Dr Nadia Northway and singer-songwriter Jennifer Ewan delivered the previous talks to raise public awareness of the challenges and strengths that can come with being dyslexic.

Tickets for the final in the series with Laura Henry-Allain are available now from Ticket Tailor.
