Order Ellie's Blue Dyslexia Ribbons for Dyslexia Awareness Week (6 - 11 November 2017)

Ellie was Dyslexia Scotland’s first Young Ambassador.  In 2012 she came up with the idea of a blue ribbon to raise awareness of dyslexia during Dyslexia Awareness Week.

At the time, Ellie said: 'I want children to feel comfortable with their dyslexia and not to have to hide it away.  Most children don't want to tell their friends about it because they are ashamed or embarrassed.  I want to educate people so that they understand that dyslexics are creative out of the box thinkers and that we are just as clever as everyone else. I want them to embrace their dyslexia and achieve their goals.'

To order a supply of 50 or 100 ribbons, please click here and complete the order form.

To cover costs of ribbons and postage, we are asking for a donation of £2.50 for each order of ribbons.  Payment can be made online to Dyslexia Scotland, Account number 00256241, Sort code 83-15-15.  Please write your/school name followed by Blue Ribbons as a reference.

Ribbons will be sent out by the end of October.
