Dyslexia and the Classroom

This 1.5 hour workshop is aimed at Senior Management Teams and Support For Learning Teachers to enable the cascading of practices throughout the school

In this workshop we will guide you through ways of subtly changing the support of your dyslexic students with no extra cost and no extra time and demonstrate how to adapt practice that suits all students.

Through simulations, case studies and demonstrations you will learn about the literacy barriers that some dyslexic students face and the importance of explicit, accumulative instruction as well as how to support the overloading on the working memory in the classroom environment. Finally we will show you how to look for the strengths of the dyslexic mind and how to nurture the skillset of the future.

Just 1.5 hours of your time has the potential to change the future of many children.
