2014 Scottish Survey of Literacy and Numeracy

Scotland’s Chief Statistician today published literacy results of the 2014 Scottish Survey of Literacy and Numeracy (SSLN).  This is an annual survey which monitors national performance in literacy and numeracy at P4, P7 and S2.  This is the second set of literacy results from the survey.  The full report is available at the following link: www.gov.scot/ssln

To coincide with the publication of the report, Education Scotland has today refreshed the Professional Learning Resources to support teachers in developing the literacy skills of their pupils.

These support materials, which include ready to use professional workshops that can be used by individuals or groups of practitioners, are available on the Education Scotland website: http://www.educationscotland.gov.uk/ssln
