Parent Masterclass: what next?
Following on from the success of our recent Parent Masterclass, our next Open Meeting will continue to discuss ways parents can support their dyslexic children. We appreciate that we did not get much time to ask questions or enter into discussion after the Masterclass so the format of this meeting will be much more relaxed. There will be a brief presentation by Katie Carmichael, Dyslexia Scotland’s Career Coach. Katie recently wrote wonderful posts on the Dyslexia Scotland blog on speaking to your child about careers, so we are delighted that she has agreed to come along to chat to us. After that you will be able to chat to Support for Learning teachers and other parents on the committee. It's a great opportunity for us all to share some good ideas and tips on how to best support our dyslexic young people.
The meeting will take place in the Library at St Margaret’s Academy, Howden South Road, Livingston, EH54 6AT on Wednesday 29 May 2019 from 7pm to 9pm. Everyone is welcome, and you can book tickets on our Eventbrite page or by replying to this email.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the branch mailing list.
A short AGM will also be held at the event. Please click here for an agenda.
